Legal status. On 2026-06-26 the Federal High Court, Lokoja (Justice Isah Dashen) set aside the 2025-12-10 judgment that had ordered INEC to register NDC, on the procedural ground that the Peace Movement Party (which separately claims ownership of NDC's logo) was not joined to the original case. NDC has not been deregistered; the party has instructed its lawyers to appeal to the Court of Appeal, and INEC is reviewing the certified true copy of the judgment.
